How to calculate the volume of your diesel tank

Services - water electric etc - will be updated as we fit out the shell - I will put some planning info on this page in Mar 2002 with any luck!
I've decided to do some advance planning on the
electrics so for everything you've ever wanted to know about wire thicknesses,
voltage drops, power losses and more, head this way

Well the lighting is just about done - It consists mostly of 12V halogen downlighters (courtesy of Screwfix @ £2.40 each) and a couple of fluorescent tube corridor lights from Midland Chandlers at Penkridge. The halogen downlighters do not include the bulb but these work out at about 70p each if you buy 20 from Screwfix.
Because the downlighters require about 1.5" depth to mount into I have fitted them into rings turned out of pine (see photo). This cost me about 25p a ring because I have a lathe - I dread to think how much to buy something similar - probably about £5 each.
I've also turned rings for two of the mushroom vents that have 12V fans built in - one in the galley and one in the bathroom. These come from a company called Mainline Surplus Sales - for about £3 they'll sell you a fan that costs £35.00 at a local chandlers - see links page under electrical for details.
